Designing a Welcoming, Adaptable Digital Literacy Space

  • Multi-unit effort, coordinated with the Director of Project Planning and Management (Lanah Stafford), ePortfolio Support Coordinator (Elle Tyson), and CHIP Fiscal Technician (Lisa Dunbar)

  • Completed largely over two months

  • Painted walls

  • Installed a new counter, phone ports, power outlets, wall logo, glass decals, white board

  • Reinstalled monitor

  • Installed Student Success Center Conference room credenza 

  • Cleared closet of PEP materials

  • Secured new/ new-to-us computers to replace outdated tech

  • Secured sound dampeners and directional sound cones (FIG)

  • Secured Google Cardboard sets

Adapting to the University's Changing Needs

  • Increased student support to include any assignment/activity that uses digital media

  • Translated all ePortfolio and Digital Services to online with emphasis on universal accessibility

  • Provided individualized support for faculty/admin converting assignments for online formats

  • Collaborated on "Addressing the Digital Divide" document 

  • Collaborated on entries for "Teaching Online Tidbits" (TOTs) Initiative

  • Provided emergent resources for online instruction via updated ePortfolio & Digital Initiatives website

  • Designed Micro ePortfolio Webinar for online courses in an effort to lower barrier for quick adoption at course level
